Due to the concern on global warming, the demand for a system using natural refrigerant is increasing and many researches have been devoted to develop systems with natural refrigerants. Among natural refrigerant systems, an air cycle system has emerged as one of alternatives of Freon gas system due to environmentally friendly feature in spite of the inherent low efficiency. To overcome the technical barrier, this study proposed combination of multiple systems as a hybrid cycle to achieve higher efficiency of an air cycle system. The hybrid air cycle adopts a humidity control units such as an adsorber and a desorber to obtain the cooling effect from latent heat as well as sensible heat. To investigate the efficacy of the hybrid air cycle, the cooling performance of a hybrid air cycle is investigated analytically and experimentally. From the simulation result, it is found that COP of the hybrid air cycle is two times higher than that of the conventional air cycle. The experiments are conducted on the performance of the desiccant system according to the rotation speed in the system and displayed the feasibility of the key element in the hybrid air cycle system. From the results, it is shown that the system efficiency can be enhanced by utilization of the exhausted heat through the ambient heat exchanger with advantage of controlling the humidity by the desiccant rotor.  相似文献

The initiation and the propagation of detonation waves in a hemispherical chamber and the imploding shock waves that are the reflected detonation waves at the chamber wall are numerically investigated. The effects of the boundary layer and the non-uniformity of the flow field induced by the detonation wave on the imploding shock stability are examined. It is found that the effect of the boundary layer separation on the chamber wall has the strongest effect on the implosion focus.  相似文献

Temperature dependence of positron annihilation lifetime spectra of polysilanes such as, poly(methyl-n-propylsilane) (PMPrS) and poly(di-n-hexylsilane) (PDHS) has been investigated. The τ3 in PMPrS is seen to increase monotonically around the solid–liquid transition temperature. The transition temperature and free volume are observed to depend on the molecular weight and/or packing of the backbones. For PDHS, a sharp change in τ3 and I3 is seen at the solid–solid transition temperature. Free volume radius probability density functions, above and below the transition temperature, are presented in PMPrS and PDHS. Positron studies are complimented by conventional thermal analysis studies.  相似文献

We constructed a position-sensitive gamma-ray detector consisting of an array of BGO scintillators, a light guide and compact PS-PMTs. The effects of refractive index and thickness of the light guide of a glass plate on the detector performance were investigated. A light guide with higher refractive index and smaller thickness is found better for a good spatial resolution.  相似文献

2-Acetylthio-3-benzoylpropionic acid derivatives having two benzene rings or condensed-ring moieties were prepared, and tested for hypolipidemic activity in normal rats. Some of these compounds were active. 2-Acetylthio-3-[4-(phenylthio)benzoyl]propionic acid (10) and its derivatives seemed to have the most potent hypocholesterolemic activities. Compound 10 showed strong activity, especially in cholesterol-fed rats.  相似文献
